Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Anne W. Burrell is the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute of being a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I could not learn or do enough. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for a year, taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. When she was in Italy she developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. She also is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she raises awareness about young diabetics. Burrell travels extensively across the country in her role as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her career and love of cooking. Anne has stated during her career in the kitchen that she feels so fortunate to be able to share what's most important to her.
